Offered for your private collection is this beautiful antique Minton Staffordshire Stoke-on-Trent majolica oyster plate.
It features 6 wells for oysters, a center well for lemon or sauce and a large cracker well.
It is a lemony yellow with green petals and little pink flowers on a stippled background.
I found this same plate in my reference books, see last photo.
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks! It has overall glaze crazing which is normal and a few paint flakes on the green petals but the one in the reference book also seems to have the same flakes so this might be normal with this style.
It measures almost 9.25 inches in diameter.
