- Rare Antique Majolica Flower & Fruit Clock Massier c.1800's, fm1220
Offered for your private collection is this magnificent antique French majolica desk or mantel clock.
Made in the South of France in Vallauris. According to my research, early Massier works were rarely signed. Delphin Massier was born in 1836 and died in 1907. This clock was most likely made around 1860-1880.
Made in the form of a superb flower with fruit and green leaves and the center being the movement.
The colors are pink, yellow, green and dark purple.
The movement works, it's ticking away right now!
It measures 7 inches wide and stands 6.5 inches tall.
It is in excellent antique condition with no major chips or cracks.
This will be beautiful in any room of your home!
Add this to your personal collection today or give as a fabulous antique gift!
If you wish to make an offer on this amazing piece, please do so below!
We also have two more clocks from the Massier pottery that you might like to add to your collection! One is a larger pansy flower clock and the other is a smaller pansy flower clock. All three of these pieces came from the same estate. Be sure to check them out! See next to last photo!
The last photo is of another clock by Delphin Massier, the same flower as this one but with birds (not available).
