Offered for your personal collection is this very rare large antique majolica cache-pot planter.
Made in the 1800's by Joseph Holdcroft and well marked on the bottom with an overlapping 'JH' contained within a circle.
This beautiful antique cache-pot planter features two scenes of rustic dogwood branches and blossoms on a patterned tree bark background.
This is quite a piece that weighs just over 5.5 pounds all by itself.
It is in very good antique condition with overall glaze crazing, some missing glaze on the inside bottom and an old chip on the bottom that is hard to see unless you turn it over.
It is a nice size that measures 8 inches wide and stands 7.5 inches tall.
