Offered for your personal collection is this gorgeous antique German oyster plate.
It was made for the Davis Collamore & Co. stores in New York city in the late 1800's.
It features an octagon or 8 sided shape with 5 wells for oysters and a seashell for lemon or sauce.
All of the wells are outlines in dark brown with little gold squiggles around them. The oyster wells are partially pink in color.
The sauce well is partially blue in color.
These all lay on a gold background with shinny gold seaweed which you can see in the photos. Just magnificent!
It is in excellent antique condition with only a tiny nip on the oyster well edge as seen in photo 9.
It measures 8 inches from side to side.
