Offered for your private collection is this beautiful antique majolica creamer pitcher.
Made by the Wardle & Co. of Hanley, England who produced majolica from 1871-1910.
This creamer pitcher features bird, bugs and flowers on a fan pattern which reflects the rising interest in Japanese patterns during that period.
As you see here you have a blue and yellow fan with a crane and flowering tree on one side and a butterfly or insect and a flowering tree on the other side. The handle mimics bamboo.
The interior is a deep pinky- violet color, very pretty!
It is marked on the bottom with an English Registry mark.
This is certainly one of the oldest creamers out there from this company as it has overall glaze crazing. It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks! It does have some glaze flakes from age and use which is normal and to be expected.
It measures almost 5.5 inches from spout to handle and stands almost 3.5 inches tall.
Add this to your personal collection today or give as a fabulous antique gift!
