- Antique Oyster Plate Iridescent Porcelain Oyster Plate c.1800’s, op466
Offered is this gorgeous antique Porcelain Oyster Plate.
Made in the 1800s and marked with the numbers 3329/87 impressed into the clay. We believe this to be German in origin.
Very beautiful, it features Wells for 6 oysters and a center well for lemon or sauce. Each oyster well has a Hand Painted oyster scar as if you have already scooped the oyster out to its shell. The bottom tip of the oyster shells have a peach hue and in between are other shells in grey trimmed in gold.
The plate has an overall iridescent glaze except in the grey areas, just beautiful!
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks.
It measures 9.5 inches in diameter.
This will be beautiful in any room of your home.
