Offered is this gorgeous antique Wedgwood majolica portrait plate.
Made in the 1800's by Wedgwood, its date code is VVC and it has an old sticker that dates it to July 1874.
It features a brown and yellow reticulated or pierced rim. The band between the center and the rim has a great leafy vine with little red berries and a yellow ribbon with white dots swirled around it on a purplish blue band.
The green intaglio center features a high society lady in Victorian dress.
It measures just over 8.5 inches in diameter.
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. It has some glaze crazing on the back due to age which is normal with antique majolica.
