- Antique German Porcelain Oyster plate, op674
Offered is this beautiful antique oyster plate.
Made by Joseph Schachtel in Germany between 1887-1919.
It features six pink oyster wells with a center well for lemon. The rim is lightly scalloped and hand painted in gold.
The back has a highly impressed Eagle with JS underneath. I put a light dusting of carbon on the makers mark to take the photo, it rubs off with your finger.
This beautiful antique oyster plate is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. It has light wear on the high points which is normal for antique oyster plates.
It measures almost 8.5 inches wide.
We have several available. One has no makers mark but is marked with gold numbers. Please as for more photos if you are interested.
