Offered is this magnificent antique majolica pitcher from Banks and Thorley of Hanley of England circa 1880.
This is one of their most famous patters, Basket Weave and Bamboo with a double winged butterfly as the handle. You can visit the Majolica International Society to see a few more photos of their works.
This is a great piece. It is very sweet measuring 5.5 inches tall and 4.25 inches from handle to spout.
It is marked on the bottom with a very clear British Registry mark.
It is in excellent antique condition with overall crazing mainly on the inside due to age.
