Offered for your private collection is this beautiful antique porcelain bowl.
It bears the 1924 makers mark known as the "Cherry Blossom " in the shape of 5 "M"s which was sub-contracted by the Nippon Toki Kasha Company (Noritake Company) to independent companies making porcelain for the USA market. (this information was found on the Gotheborg.com website and I thank them for their knowledge.)
This lovely antique bowl features a hand painted Figural squirrel sitting on an oak branch with leaves and gold acorns. He has plucked one of the acorns off and is devouring it!
The inside of the bowl is orange with a Lusterware finish that was very popular in the 1920's.
This bowl is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks!
The squirrel measures 2.5 inches tall and the bowl which has a tri-lobed form measures 7.5 inches at its widest point.
