Offered for your collecting pleasure is this fabulous antique German Porcelain Clown cigarette and match holder.
Marked on the bottom with an impressed "4780" and "Germany", this was made between 1891-1922.
It features a funny clown with big orange shoes doing acrobatics to make you smile.
You can put a few matches between his boots and it holds 10 cigarettes around the back. There is a large dip in front of him which you could put more matches. I don't think it is an ashtray as there are no designated indents for a cigarette to lay but you could use this in that capacity.
He is in excellent as found condition with no chips or cracks. He has a heat line on the back of his leg from being in the heat of the kiln which was normal back then.
He measures 5.75 inches long by 3.5 inches wide and stands 4.25 inches tall.
This will make a great addition to your personal tobacco item collection or give it as a wonderful antique gift!
