Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this lovely antique French faience bannette handled platter tray.
Hand painted in the wonderful Rouen Desvres style it features the heraldic coat of arms with the shield of Mont Saint Michel held by two fire breathing lions.
It is in excellent condition for its great age with a small chip on the back foot where it sits, some enamel wear on the back points and one enamel skip, a short ageline on the back that does not go through. This is all normal and expected for a piece this size for antique faience and majolica from age and use.
It has a raffia tie to hang it on your wall.
It measures 11 inches from handle to handle.
