- Antique German Oyster Plate c.1800's, op322
Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this beautiful antique German porcelain oyster plate.
It is marked on the back with an impressed "N515" and a hand written "41", we believe this to have been made by the Carl Tielsch company between 1845-1890.
It features wells for 5 oysters and 3 other shell fish. The center well is not deep enough for sauce so it is for lemon.
The colors are gold, iridescent purple and grey. Just beautiful!
It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks! It has a small edge fire line from being fired in the kiln which was common back then.
This antique oyster plate is not quite round. It measures almost 10.25 by 10 inches in diameter, the perfect size for display or use!
Add this marvelous antique German oyster plate to your private collection today or give as a fabulous and unique gift!!
