Beautiful early 20th century Emaux de Longwy hand enameled cloisonné footed table platter or trivet.
It features an 8 sided form with a geometric pattern on the rim. The center features a red and pink "pivoine" or peony flowers, bud and green leaves on a cream background and colorful flowers and leaves on a blue background all around.
The amazing thing with Emaux de Longwy is that each piece has to be fired in the kiln for each separate color that is on the item! So this gorgeous piece had to be fired around 15 different times just to put the colors on!
This beautiful piece measures 10 inches wide.
It is well marked on the bottom. Please see all of the photos.
