This French Limoges wall platter is marked with the underglaze whiteware mark in green with "LIMOGES" over "FRANCE" which dates this platter to have been made after 1891.
It has been decorated by the French Limoges decorating firm of Lazeyras, Rosenfeld & Lehman and bears the 1920 decorating mark.
It is signed on the front by the known Limoges artist "Muville" who was known for his portraits and figures.
This beautiful wall platter features a scalloped, molded and pearled rim trimmed in heavy wide band of gold.
The center scene features two cows in the enclosed field with pinkish-purplish flowers and large trees in the background set on a beautiful peachand blue sky during sunset.
It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks! Some light gold wear on the rim, normal for age and use.
It measures a nice large 12.25 inches in diameter.
It is a nice hefty piece that weighs almost 3 pounds by itself!
