Offered for your private collection is this amazing antique majolica platter.
Made in the 1800's and unmarked on the back as seen in photo.
It features morning glory flowers and leaves and red and brown birds going for the stalks of wheat and green leaves which make the handles.
It measures 13.5 inches long and 11 inches wide.
It is quite a hefty piece that weighs almost 3 pounds just by itself!
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks! I do show a photo where the glaze was removed on the back rim when it was taken out of the kiln and this piece has overall glaze crazing from age which is normal with antique majolica.
