This plate is well marked and was made by the Havilland Limoges company between 1888-1896.
It features 5 wells for oysters and is the "Turkey" mold.
It is hand painted with pink and green seaweed and the scalloped rim is trimmed in two tones of gold.
In each oyster well is an "oyster scar" and there is a slight pinkish hue in the wells, very life like.
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks.
It measures 8.5 inches in diameter.
