Offered for your private collection is this beautiful antique hand painted French faience butter tub.
This was made and hand painted by one of my favorite French faience artists, Henri Chaumeil. He signed it with his initials on the bottom. He did this between 1890-1920.
It features an almost picket fence form and has a hand painted Pivoine or Peony and wild flower bouquet on one side and pink and yellow flowers with green leaves on the other side.
The handled lid is just as beautiful as the tub with flowers and "combing".
It measures 3.5 inches tall with lid and 3.75 inches wide.
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks!
