Offered for your personal collection is this beautiful and rare antique majolica egg server.
Made by the Longchamp majolica factory in the late 1800's, it is marked on the back with the impressed numbers 1079.
This scarce egg server holds 6 eggs and each holder has a molded baby chick in each one in different poses!
The rim and between the egg holders has a molded corn nibbles pattern on it with several stalks of wheat.
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks! It has overall glaze crazing which is normal and expected with antique majolica.
It measures 10 inches diagonally across at the widest point.
