Made by the Sarreguemines majolica factory in the east of France. The impressed makers mark dates this piece to have been made between 1834-1880.
This beautiful antique plate features an extremely ornate leaf, flower and strawberry motif on the rim. The central pattern is reminiscent of Gothic European church cathedral stained glass windows in the pattern, just stunning!
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks! It has overall crazing and three stilt marks on the back from being fired in the kiln which is normal and expected with antique majolica.
It measures just 8 inches in diameter.
