Made during the Aesthetic Movement 1870-1900 in the nineteenth-century Britain when Japonisme was at the height of popularity.
This lovely pitcher features lady's fans with birds and exotic trees and flowers.
The colors are beautiful.
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. It has overall glaze crazing which is normal and expected with antique majolica.
It measures 6 inches tall and 5 inches wide from spout to handle.
