- Antique German Majolica Hibiscus Flower Plate c1907-1928 Zell, gm236
Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this beautiful antique German majolica plate.
This plate was made between 1907-1928 by the Georg Schmeider majolica factory in Zell, Germany for the export company Flambeau China company in Limoges, France.
This plate bears their export mark on the back. They exported these wares to Great Britain and the USA.
This lovely plate features a red poppy or hibiscus flower with green leaves on a yellow Basketweave background and the rim has a rope like border.
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks! It has a glaze skip on the yellow between the first and second flower petal and a bit of extra clay as seen in the photo. The back has three stilt marks from the kiln which is normal with antique majolica.
It measures almost 7 inches in diameter, the perfect size for display or use!
