Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this lovely vintage French faience butter pat.
Designed by Adrien Thibault in 1933, they came out with the Renaissance Fond Blue in 1938 and ran it until 1960. They have started making reproductions of the Fond Blue pattern but this is not one.
It features hand painted golden yellow leaves around the rim, a deep cobalt blue background with a centralized flying dragon otherwise known as a Griffen.
It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks!
It measures 2.75 inche wide.
It is marked on the back with the initals of the artist.
