Offered from my last trip to France is this gorgeous antique majolica asparagus platter.
Made by the Salins-les-Bains factory between 1857-1890.
It features a large artichoke flower laying on a bed of 14 purple tipped asparagus. The handles of this platter are also in the form of asparagus.
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips! It does have overall glaze crazing which is normal and expected with antique and vintage majolica.
It measures 16 inches long, 9.5 inches wide and stands 2.5 inches tall.
