Offered for your collecting pleasure is this beautiful set of antique Limoges powder jar and hair receiver made by the William Guerin porcelain company in Limoges, France.
The William Guerin white ware mark in green dates this pieces to have been made between 1891 and was hand painted in 1896.
The powder jar lid has a nice scalloped edge in gold and has lovely hand painted purple violets and green leaves on both the lid and the body of the jar. I especially love the double scrolled handles on the lid.
The two piece hair receiver features hand painted violets and green leaves and gold scroll work on the lid and gold on a light yellow background on the bottom half.
The hair receiver measures 4.25 inches wide and 2.25 inches tall.
The powder jar measures 3.5 inches wide and stands 3.5 inches tall.
