Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this beautiful antique Limoges dresser set.
It is comprised of a dresser tray or platter, a posey vase or you could add a stopper and use it as a perfume bottle, a covered powder jar and a lidded hair receiver.
All of these pieces are hand painted and signed by the artist, the platter and the posey vase were painted by "G.R. Windisch" and the two lidded jars were painted by "F.Schmeiser" . This explains why the platter and posey vase were Limoges blanks and the two lidded jars were made in Austria, their makers mark dates them to have been produced between 1890-1908.
China painting was very popular in the Victorian era for ladies of high society to occupy their time.
The pierced handled platter has a molded and scalloped form. The handles are gold and the band around the scrolled and flowered center is a pretty mint green. It features pink roses and green leaves on a soft pastel center. It measures 13.25 inches long and 9 inches wide. It is in excellent antique condition with only a small repair as seen in photo 3.
The posey vase has the pink roses painted all the way around. It measures 5.25 inches tall.
The powder jar and hair receiver are the same size, almost 4.5 inches wide. They are both in excellent antique condition.
