Offered for your collecting pleasure is this extremely rare Limoges fine porcelain mayonnaise set.
So rare to find the two accompanying pieces, the mayonnaise bowl and the matching under-plate.
Made by the Theodore Haviland Company in Limoges, France between 1904-1920. This set was made for the Thomas West & Co., Savannah, Georgia.
This set is in leaf form with pink roses and green leaves. The edges and handle of the mayonnaise dish is painted in gold.
This set is just gorgeous. This will be your most favorite set on your table! Use it for mayonnaise, cocktail sauce, melted butter, or any other sauce you might need.
You can also use the two pieces seperatly, use the bowl for the sauces and the underplate for nuts or olives, let your imagination run wild. In any case, this will be the "Creme de la Creme" on your table.
Both pieces are in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
The underplate can be used as a serving plate. It measures almost 7.5 inches long and 6.25 inches wide and stands 1 inch tall.
The mayonnaise bowl measures 6 inches long and 5 inches wide and stands just over 2 inches tall. Together they stand 2.75 inches tall.
Both pieces are marked on the back with "Theodore Haviland Limoges FRANCE" and "THOMAS WEST &Co, SAVANNAH, Ga"
