- Antique German Porcelain Signed Dresser Tray, p165
Offered for your personal collection is this absolutely beautiful antique German porcelain tray platter.
Made by the Tirschenreuth Porcelain Factory which opened in 1838 in Bavaria, Germany. This tray is well marked with the 1903 makers mark and the hand written numbers "1222/3".
It features a beautiful sponged gold beaded and scalloped rim, pierced handles and a mixtion method center decor of transfer with hand painting and enameling of the white and yellow daisies and purple flowers amidst fall colored leaves, all on a soft pastel green background. It is signed by the artist "LANGPERE" with an accent on the last E, which is French.
It measures 9.75 inches long and almost 4.5 inches wide.
It is in excellent antique condition for a piece from 1903! It has a very small bottom foot nip which is the ring it sits on the bottom and is not seen unless turned over. This is very normal for a very old piece like this. The rest of the dish is in perfect antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs!
