Made in the south west of France in the city of Martres Tolosane, these wares were known as Moustiers.
The decor on this lovely planter is "oiseaux fantastiques" or fantastic bird.
There is a "fantastic bird" on both sides of the planter in a different pose.
The colors are blue, green and ochre on white, very pretty!
This is a nice wide planter that measures 7.5 inches wide and stands 6.75 inches tall.
It has decorative little handles on the sides.
It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks!
