- Antique French Faience Chamber Candle Stick Hand Painted by Henri Chaumeil c.1890-1920, ff399
Offered for your collecting pleasure is this lovely antique French faience chamber candle stick holder.
Made in the Chaumeil factory and hand painted by Henri Chaumeil who was born in 1877, he worked with his father, Alcide, in their Paris factory and did this type of decoration between 1890-1920. When his father died in 1919, Henri went on to create his own art work in crackled glaze pottery.
Hand painted and signed under glaze "Decor Strasbourg Fait Main CH".
It features beautiful flowers and leaves and a bug going from one flower to another. It is molded and scalloped, beautiful trim and "combing".
It is in excellent antique condition with no major chips or cracks. It has a few glaze rubs which is normal with antique faience and majolica.
It measures 7.5 inches long with handle and stands 4 inches tall.
This will be a beautiful addition to any room of your home!
