Found in the east of France close to the German border is this lovely antique cider pitcher set.
Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this huge Limoges cider pitcher that was made by the Vignaud Freres Limoges company circa 1911 and six goblets that are german porcelain.
This was handpainted and signed by the artist and done in the Arts and Crafts Movement style that pulled away from the traditional Victorian floral style. The Arts and Crafts Movement was very popular from 1900-1915 then lost it's popularity to the Art Deco period of the 1920's.
This set features one of the largest cider pitchers I have ever seen. The pitcher and the goblets are painted with grapes and leaves on a green background. The cider pitcher has a beaded handle. What I really love about this set is the interior of each piece has been Lusterwared, an iridescent rainbow glaze, like when you put a drop of oil into a puddle and you get all thoses beautiful colors!
All the pieces are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks!
The Pitcher measures 10 inches from handle to the front and stands 6 inches tall.
The 6 goblets measures 3.75 inches tall and almost 3 inches wide.
Add this wonderful antique cider set to your collection today or give as a fabulous gift!!
