Offered is this beautiful antique French majolica asparagus plate.
Made in the 1800's and marked on the back with an impressed hatch mark and a 6 or 9 in the clay and a mark from the painter under glaze.
It features two purple and white asparagus on a bluish-green background.
It is in excellent antique condition for its age with one small nip on the back foot ring, a few light marks on the front which I tried to show in photo and overall glaze crazing which is normal for antique majolica.
It measures almost 9 inches in diameter.
This will be lovely with your other antique asparagus plates.
