Marked on the back with George Borgfeldt Coronet Limoges decorating mark that dates this plate to have been hand painted between 1906-1920.
It is signed on the front by the well known Limoges artist "Duval". He was known for his game birds.
Expertly and richly decorated, this lovely platter features a wide gold scalloped and molded rim. It has a very pert quail in the tall grasses next to a small road that leads to the distant village in the background. The sun is setting and the sky is on fire with warm rich colors, just beautiful!
