Offered for your private collection is this beautiful antique porcelain Limoges oyster plate.
Marked on the back with the Lewis Straus & Son Mark. They were a company that exported porcelain from Limoges to their New York based company between 1890-1920.
This antique oyster plate has 5 wells for oysters and a small center well for lemon or sauce. It has a beautiful form and has enameled flowers with gold paste leaves. The scalloped and molded rim is trimmed in gold.
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks! It has some gold loss on the scalloped rim from age and use which is normal and expected.
It measures 8.5 inches in diameter.
