Offered is a very rare opportunity to add to your collection this magnificent 10 piece crystal perfume cologne dresser set!!
Made in Nancy, France in the 1920's it features purple cut to clear cased crystal.
There are 3 cologne bottles with stoppers, one atomizer, one tumbler and one lidded dresser box.
Several of the items are acid etched CRISTAL NANCY FRANCE along with the Cross of Lorraine in a circle on the bottom.
According to a reference by Michel Colle, Cristalleries de Nancy was located directly across from the well known Nancy Daum and had made off with several of their glass blowers. They produced high end, expensive cut Crystal perfume and cologne bottles which was their specialty, often made in limited editions of 100. The company closed in 1934.
The large perfume cologne bottle measures 7.25 inches tall with stopper. It measures 5.5 inches tall without stopper and 2.75 inches wide. It has purple to clear, purple to clear step shoulders, with deeply cut panels with starburst and circle cuts all the way around. The bottle is in excellent condition! The stopper has one small nip, and a scratch on the part that goes into the bottle. The bottom of the stopper is marked with the number "7".
The 2 smaller perfume cologne bottles measures 6.75 inches tall with stopper, 5 inches tall without stopper and 2.5 inches wide. They have the same decoration as the larger bottle. Both stoppers are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks! One bottle is in excellent condition and the other one is in excellent conditon with one tiny flea bite I had to find with a magnifying glass.
The atomizer measures 5.75 inches tall and 2.25 inches wide. It is in excellent conditon with no chips or cracks! It unscrews for you to put your purfume into it! It has its original crystal rod. The metal piece where the squeez ball would go does unscrew. A lovely piece!! The bottom is acid etched marked.
The lidded dresser jar has a 24 armed star cut on the lid top with the star and circle pattern around the edge. The jar base has the paneling and the star and circle pattern on the bottom panel. The bottom is acid etched marked. It measures 3 inches wide and stands 3.25 inches tall with lid on. It is in excellent condition with no chps or cracls! There is a rough spot on the outer rim of the bottom jar mouth felt with the finger.
The gobblet is in the same pattern as the other items in this beautiful antique set! It measures almost 2.75 inches wide at the mouth and 2.25 inches wide at the bottom. It is in excellent condition with no chps or cracks! It is acid etched marked on the bottom.
