Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this beautiful antique majolica bowl.
Made by Josiah Wedgwood in England. According to the Wedgwood Dating Chart this bowl was made in July, 1878.
It features a large rim with green and yellow leaves on a stippled light blue background with a deep cobalt blue center with a white starburst and curved pattern in the center. The back is a mottled green and brown.
It is well marked with the impressed Upper Case WEDGWOOD, the three letters that date it and two other impressed letters.
This gorgeous antique bowl measures just over 11 inches in diameter and stands 2.25 inches tall.
It is in excellent condition for its great age with no chips or cracks. I do believe it may have had a very small nip repair on the back edge which I have photographed for you and is normal for an item this old.
As you can see in the last photo, this item has a book value of $735+! Don't let this one get away!
