Having no mark of the country of origin, it was made before the McKinley Tariff Act of 1891which required the name of the country of origin be on each piece.
This lovely antique majolica platter measures 11 inches wide by 10.5 inches long.
It was found in France in the eastern countryside.
It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks on the front, there is an old chip to the back foot rim which is not seen from the front and is normal for antique majolica.
