Made by the Shorter & Boulton company in England. They registered this bird and fan design on March 17, 1881.
This lovely example of high quality English majolica features three fans with birds and flowers on a stippled cobalt blue background.
This plate is marked with the English Registry mark on the back as seen in photo.
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. It has 3 stilt marks on the back from the kiln which is normal with antique majolica.
It measures 7.5 inches in diameter.
