Offered for your personal collection is this very unique antique French faience plate.
Made in the south of the Burgundy region in the town of Charolles. This factory opened in 1844 by Hyppolite Prost and was taken over by the Molin family in 1892.
This plate is marked on the back with the "M" and the Flower design of the Molin family, "Charolles, Peint Main" (hand painted) and the number "414".
It features a blue lined scalloped rim with yellow, blue and red flowers with green leaves.
The center features a winged fire breathing dragon. Very unusual!
It measures 9.25 inches in diameter.
It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks!!
The back has three stilt marks from the kiln which is normal and expected.
