Offered is this beautiful antique vintage English oyster plate.
It was made by the Arthur J. Wilkinson Royal Staffordshire Pottery in Burslem, Staffordshire, England between 1885-1968.
This lovely oyster plate features six wells for oysters and a center well for lemon or vinegrette. In between the wells and around the center it is decorated with different types of sea shells.
It measures 9.75 inches in diameter.
It is in excellent condition for its age with no chips or cracks.
I did find the same oyster plate with transferware in a reference book at $795-$950! I added a photo for you to see.
I like this oyster plate better. It will look fabulous on a red, green or blue table cloth! Put it on a gold or silver charger and your table will be beautiful!
