Made by the Sarreguemines majolica factory in the east of France.
This lidded tureen is in the shape of a fish that has a smile on his face!
I do have 2 available! Collect them both!
It is in a warm color of dark golden honey with a tinge of green.
It has no chips or cracks! It does have overall glaze crazing and stilt marks on the bottom from being fired in the kiln which is normal for antique and vintage majolica.
This item carries an older Sarreguemines makers mark, this impressed mark was used from the 1930's to around 1960.
This lovely lidded tureen measures 13 inches long, 7 inches wide and stands 6.5 inches tall.
