It was hand painted by a French artist Jean-Joseph-Leon Fauret who was born in 1863.
His roses are very full bodied and beautiful on a soft pastel background.
The scalloped rim is trimmed in gold.
It is marked on the back with the 1880's Z.S.&Co. makersmark, the pattern name is in French "MIGNON" and there is in gold "REGNIER HAND PAINTED CHINA".
It measures 9.75 inches in diameter, the perfect size for display!
