Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this absolutly beautiful antique hand painted butter pat.
Made in France in the late 1800's to early 1900's, it is marked on the back simply with "FRANCE", after 1922 they had to write "Made in France" so this is a very early piece.
This was made by one of the many faience factories in the east of France.
Expertly hand painted with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and green leaves in the center. The sharply invert scalloped rim has a pinkish red border and green and black bands in between pinkish red pillars. Just beautiful!!
It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs!
It measures 4.5 inches at the widest point of the tips.
