Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this lovely handled and lidded butter crock, butter tub, butter dish made in Desvres, France in the early1900's.
It is in the typical Desvres blue, green and tan colors with flowers and leaves around the bottom pot and the coat of arms of the harbor town of Dives-sur-mer known for where William the Conqueror set out on the Normand Conquest of England in 1066.
It measures 4.5 inches in diameter and about 2.5 inches tall. This would be great to hold your own home made compound butter to serve to your friends and family!
It is in excellent condition with no chips!
