Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this lovely antique French Majolica plate.
Made by the Choisy-le-Roi faience factory. The Choisy-le-Roi factory in France produced majolica from 1860 until 1910. Hippolyte Boulenger was the director at the pottery. This factory made some of the most delicate majolica produced in France.
This plate is a great example of the beauty of work created in this factory. It features colorful pansy flowers with green leaves and three green dragonflies at the tip of each flower.
It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. It does have overall glaze crazing which is normal for antique majolica.
