Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this beautiful antique majolica platter.
This platter was made by the Villeroy & Boch in their Schramberg majolica factory between 1882-1891. It is well marked on the back as seen in photos.
This gorgeous antique platter features a lovely fluted form with scalloped edges, a pearled rim and flower medallions in a basketweave rim.
The center features four beautiful urns with flowers and a green center oval.
It measures 12 inches long by 9 inches wide.
It is in excellent antique condition for its great age. It has no chips or cracks on the front. The back has some rim glaze nips and stilt marks from the kiln as seen in the photos provided. This is all normal and expected with antique majolica this old.
