- Antique Fielding Majolica Fan & Butterfly Teapot c.1800's, em55
Offered is this beautiful antique English majolica teapot.
Marked with the English registry mark on the bottom, this was made by the Fielding Majolica company from Stoke on Trent, England around 1870.
It features a lady's fan with a butterfly and a scroll with pretty flowers all around. The other side has a scroll with a bird and flowers.
The lid also has flowers on a stipples background like the teapot. The handle and spout are made to look like tree bark.
It is in excellent antique condition with only a very tiny nip on the inside rim, other than that no chips or cracks!
There may have been a small repair to the underside of the lid which is not seen, see photo.
It measures 6 inches tall and 6.5 inches wide from spout to handle.
