Offered for your tobacco collection or man cave is this exquisite antique majolica match holder with striker smoke set.
Marked on the bottom as seen in photo, we believe this to have been made by one of the earliest Central European potters, Johann Moehling who was one of the first to produce majolica between 1849 to 1875.
This beautiful figural smoke set features a singing frog playing the mandolin among the flowers which make up the holder/striker and the tray to place the spent match.
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. I think there is one very small antique repair on a tip of a petal that I tried to show in photo.
It measures 4 inches long by 4 inches wide and stands 3 inches tall.
He will be wonderful in any room of your home and if you don't collect tobacco items, that's OK! you can use this as a ring tray!
