Offered is this magnificent antique French majolica asparagus plate.
Made in the 1800's by the Orchies factory in the north of France, this beautiful plate features a slightly scalloped rim with artichoke flowers and fall colored leaves, the largest flower becoming your sauce well.
The center of the plate features five purple tipped asparagus on a feathered background, just beautiful.
This plate measures roughly 9.75 inches in diameter.
It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It has overall glaze crazing and stilt marks from the kiln which are normal for antique majolica.
